Hoping that you will join us for our last Open House Event for the season. We are a working distillery and generally take a break during the warmer months of the year so we can devote all of our efforts and time to rendering some of the best spirits you will ever try. We guarantee that you will have an enjoyable experience at our Open House Event. It’s family friendly and we select local talent to provide good old traditional bluegrass or classic country music.
John Jones will be performing at our May 26, 2018 event. John is a music instructor and also writes and performs music and heads up the Music Monday segment on Thunder Country 96.3. Check out more about him here. We also plan to have Charlie Wiggins and the back porch gut band performing. Charlie is a super talented performer and he and his group will entertain you with his washboard, spoons and other items.
As far as the food, well we always have Smithfield’s help us out in that department. We’ll have the usual fried chicken, Barbeque and all the sides. Momma Walton will be bringing some home-cooked dishes that will make you think that you are at grandma’s house for the holidays. While you are there, listening to good music and enjoying the fellowship of our visitors, staff and band, try some of our products. We will have a tasting tent and James, one of our distillers, will be pouring samplings of all of our products. Just behind the tasting tent you will find the business end of our operation. You are welcome to browse around and check everything out. We will have a batch of moonshine running and you can see and smell the mash and all of the equipment that we utilize from start to finish in the process. We also have a gift shop in which we have our products for sale as well as scores of other souvenir items and moonshine memorabilia.
